Pomskies are a crossbreed between a Pomeranian and a Siberian Husky. Since the first born Pomsky in 2009, this designer mixed breed has been gaining in popularity with dog lovers across the United States and throughout the world as breeders continue to achieve the perfect mix. Being a descendent of two highly active parents, Pomskies have a lot of energy and require a lot of exercise. These highly intelligent dogs make for great companions, though their double coat with longer hair means they aren't the best for dog owners with allergies.
Appearance and Grooming
The Pomsky is a small/medium-sized dog with a beautiful silky coat that many dog lovers find endearing. Though, because of their thick coat they have the tendency to shed quite a bit. Regular brushing will reduce shedding, especially during the warmer months, when shedding is at its peak. Their colors vary from white, black and grey, similar to their Husky ancestors.
They have a friendly and playful nature that requires a moderate amount of attention. They are very loyal and eager to please and therefore, don’t like to be left alone for long periods of time as they can become very bored and may show signs of aggression.
Family and Companionship
It can be hard to predict what personality characteristics a Pomeranian Husky mix will inherit, and so this breed is best suited for households made up of adults and/or older children. They have a highly energetic personality and will thrive with an active family who enjoys the outdoors. Because of their generally small size this breed is adaptable to living in an apartment or in a larger home.
These lively puppies need a lot of mental stimulation and exercise. They are an active breed that adapts well to its owners routine. They require a short to moderate walk along with active playtime each day. If given enough proper exercise, this small and mighty dog can often be athletic enough to participate in dog sports as agility, obedience and rally.
Training and Socialization
Pomskies are intelligent with a streak of independence, which may require more patience than most dogs. This can prove to be quite challenging for even the most experienced owner. Training and socialization is as important for the dog as it is its owner and should begin at a very early age.

We couldn't be happier with our new addition. She is the sweetest, most playful puppy. My kids adore her. Just the perfect puppy! Thank you.
When I first visited premierpups.com about 10 months ago I was scrolling through the site and although I'd never owned a dog before I knew that my wife had always hinted at liking Pomskys and I was started to come around to the idea. Then while scrolling I came up on the name Jedi and knew that it was meant to be. I contacted premierpups and they were very easy to work with and quick with communication. We received Jedi about a week later as they ship on Thursdays. Picked him up from the airport and everyone in the first class priority shipping group had already fallen in love with the guy and were sad to see us take him home and away from them. He just had his 1st birthday yesterday and so far he is such a great little guy. When he showed up he was about 8-9 lbs and now he is around 25 and healthy and smart. He hasn't been sick once and is very smart and has learned tricks that include sit, lay down, stay, spin, speak, paw, fetch, and is currently working on roll over. We bring him every where that we can and he gets along with other dogs well and loves kids. I would absolutely recommend Premier Pups, he came with the paperwork, a decent travel crate, some toys and had food and water. They may be a bit on the higher side for price but you get what you pay for and I was very happy with what we got and will come back to them again when the time comes to possibly add a brother or sister to the mix.
Sky is wonderful. We picked her up from the airport in WI and she was in a great secure crate and she adjusted to our home easily. Forgot its like having a baby in the house! Matt and the premier pup team were great. THANK YOU. Kathryn.
We picked Maddux up Fall of 2018. He is our first family dog and we couldn’t be happier. It took 19 years to talk my husband into getting a puppy. I started looking at Pomskys and showing him pictures and he started to soften to the idea. I was on this site scrolling through pictures and came across a little puppy named Flint. He said that is the cutest puppy and after a couple of days, we had ourselves a puppy. We had some confusion at the time of pickup but the staff did everything they could to make it right. Maddux is an amazing dog and he fits in perfectly with the family! I would recommend Premier Pups. The only regret is that didn’t ask for pictures of his parents.
My boyfriend and I had been researching getting a pomsky puppy and we were led to Premier Pups. After looking at multiple puppies (I wanted all of them lol), we decided on a cute little guy named Addis (currently named Atticus). The staff at Premier Pups made the process of buying a puppy a great experience. They were very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. We drove to Ohio to pick up our pup and could not be happier with our decision! Atticus is such a good boy….very clever, smart, loving and playful! He is great with people (including children) and other animals (he thinks everyone we come across on our daily walks is there to see and play with him lol)! He has brought so much joy to our lives and we truly adore him! After we brought Atticus home, Premier Pups followed up with us several times to ensure that Atti was doing well and transitioning properly. I highly recommend Premier Pups to anyone looking to buy a puppy. They are wonderful and we will definitely be getting another puppy from them in the future!!
I’m fall in love so cute and best friend thanks premier pups (I change his name to boney from Amos)
I purchased my little furbaby Mazi in September 2020 and it is one of the best things I could have did. Premier pups was awesome through the whole experience. Everywhere Mazi go, he draws a crowd because everyone is so mesmerized and compliments him. He is an energetic sweetheart and is the perfect size not too big and not too small.
When I first got Luka I was so excited to go pick him up I took the day off work and spent all day with him. He adapted very quickly and became the favorite baby in the house in no time. He is very smart and very playful with everyone. He loves kids!!! I’ve had him for about almost 2 years now and it has been great. For anyone who is looking for a pomsky this is the website to purchase him/her you wont regret it
Lexi was born September 24 2017. She Is The sweetest baby . She is Full of Energy , Very vocal. Lexi weighs 38 lbs. She is just an Awesome Dog!!!
I don’t know where to begin! My daughters and I fell in love with not one…but two Pomskys (also see Maverick (we call him Mavi for short!) (formerly Remy) on Premier Pups website! We currently have two female Yorkies (ages 10 and 8) from local individual breeders so we were very hesitant to search for a puppy on line with not being able to see her in person. Before contacting Premier Pups, the first thing I did was reach out to four prior customers who adopted Pomskys from PP. All four of them replied to me within one hour with not just a short recommendation, but paragraphs long and pictures. They had nothing but very positive feedback. I can 150% vouch for what they experienced as the customer service and personal touch from the staff (Kacee, Lacie, Donato, Chelsea and Michelle) was absolutely phenomenal! I was receiving early morning and late night text replies to my questions. They sent videos and photos. We even received a photo before Harper was boarding the plane! And I have been receiving phone calls checking on them since they arrived. Harper was one of a kind with a beautiful gray coat and unique black markings and gorgeous blue eyes! There was no other Pomsky that looked like her so we said she was the one. There was also another puppy we were interested in that was black and white but there was one tiny adorable problem…when we received pictures of the two puppies, Harper was posing in a picture with who we thought was the black and white puppy we were also interested in but learned it was Maverick. This made our decision even more difficult. We didn’t know what to do but I told my girls I could only handle one more puppy. We were also told that another family was seriously interested in adopting Maverick. After a few hours of trying to decide which puppy to adopt, when I went to submit my offer, my oldest daughter (whose age will remain anonymous as you would have thought she was 5 by her reaction) burst into sobbing tears. I told her not to worry and that Remy would find a loving family. Knowing that another family was interested made us feel better so we decided to adopt Harper. Later that week, I visited the website and Maverick was still there. We thought if the other family was serious, they would have adopted him by now. Needless to say, I broke down and adopted Maverick that weekend! The girls were completely ecstatic! One of my girls is away at college and didn’t know there were two until we Facetimed her when we picked them up at the airport on 2/21. She burst into tears. Harper is a healthy, playful and very energetic puppy. She is adjusting very well to her new environment and having a great time with her new family. She has kept us laughing with her clumsiness and warms our hearts when she cuddles with us. Thank goodness we don’t live in Ohio or there wouldn’t be any puppies left for anyone to adopt! If you are looking to adopt a special puppy into your loving family, we highly recommend Premier Pups. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
