Appearance
A dog of a cuddly teddy bear appearance, the Pomachon has a warm affectionate demeanor and a confident bouncy step. The Pomachon eyes are dark, sparky, and expressive, and their nose small and black. Their ears can either be floppy or pointed and their muzzle of a medium length.
The adult Pomachon dogs sport a fluffy soft coat that can either be Bichon Frise curly, Pomeranian straight, or a wonderful mix of both, with colors that include white, black, tan, orange, or red. The Pomachon coat is minimal to non-shedding and can be considered semi-hypoallergenic. A petite adorable dog, the full-grown Pomachon stands at 9 to 15 inches tall and weighs between 6 to 17 pounds.
Temperament
Pomachons, or Bichonaranians, are sweet, cuddly, and gentle dogs who love to snuggle up to their humans and spoil them with affection. These dogs crave human affection and interaction. They want to join their family in all activities both indoors and outdoors and they are very fond of adventures in which they can discover, explore, and socialize. That being said, Pomachons very much dislike being alone and fit best in a multi-pet household or with an owner that is with them for most of the day. As dogs that thrive on attention, Pomachons will do anything to get in the center of all action.
They enjoy performing comical stunts and don’t shy away from showing off their tricks to complete strangers. As the offspring of two highly intelligent breeds – the people-pleasing Bichon Frise and the agile Pomeranian – the Pomachon should be effortless and fun to train. On occasion, the Pomachon puppy might inherit a pinch of stubbornness from his Pomeranian parent. With positive reinforcement and a delicious puppy treat, the stubborn streak will vanish quickly.

Grooming
Pomachons have moderate grooming requirements. These gorgeous dogs can either have a curly, wavy, or straight coat that requires regular combing and brushing to avoid tangles or matting. The Pomachon coat should be brushed and combed every other day (a quick brush will do) and bathed once every 4 to 6 weeks.
To avoid dental issues, the Pomachon’s teeth should be brushed on a regular basis, and they should have plenty of dental sticks to chew on. Their ears should be checked and cleaned regularly, and their nails trimmed as needed. To maintain an overall clean, healthy, and happy appearance, the Pomachon should see a professional dog groomer once every few months.

Exercise Needs
The Pomachon is a moderately active dog breed with moderate to low exercise requirements. These petite dogs need an average of 40 to 60 minutes of daily exercise split into one or two walks and some active play at home or at the dog park. They also enjoy being off-leash and roaming around freely in an enclosed yard and playing canine games of fetching and chasing.
Although they are somewhat energetic, Pomachons love to relax at home as much as they love to chase butterflies on a field and can be just as comfortable in either a relaxed or active lifestyle.

The Pomachon breed has an average lifespan of 12 to 15 years. Like its purebred parents, this breed can live as much as 20+ years with proper care and nourishment. Pomeranian dogs have been known to live to 21+ years, and Bichon Frises up to 22. Providing a well-balanced diet and the recommended amount of daily exercise can help your Pomachon live past its life expectancy.
Training
The Pomachons are very smart and highly trainable dogs. The Pomachon, also referred to as Bichonarianian and Pom Frise is a designer crossbreed of a purebred Pomeranian and a purebred Bichon Frise. Having originated in 2010 in the United States, the Pomachon breed is among the newest and most popular designer crossbreeds. These sweet dogs were bred for companionship and are famously known for their keen intelligence, merry disposition, and family-devoted nature. As they are a modern designer breed, the Pomachons lack a well-documented or rich history. The Pomeranian puppy, a descendant of the ancient Spitz dog, is a breed of many talents. A member of the AKC Toy Group, the Pomeranian has been admired as a working dog, a competitor in canine sports, and a most adored companion pet. Also known as Pom and Loulou de Pomeranie, the Pomeranian originated in the Pomerania region of central Europe and has been at the top of the canine popularity chart in the United States for 30 consecutive years. With more notable admirers like royals Queen Victoria and King George IV, and celebrities Sylvester Stallone and Gwen Stefani, the Pomeranians are and have been one of the most popular toy companion pets for centuries.
The Bichon Frise puppy, also known as Bichon a Poil Frise (Bichon with curly hair), originates from the 13th century Canary Islands. A breed that would charm kings and queens, the Bichon Frise spread across the world from Tenerife (in the Canary Islands) and rose to fame as both an adorable lapdog and a circus performer. The Bichon Frise pups are affectionate, sweet, and friendly dogs that amaze with their stunning appearance and comical dog tricks.
